Job summary

Victaulic is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer in Malaysia to manage supplier quality performance and drive improvements across the supply base. You will collaborate with R&D, Production, and Purchasing on new product development, transfers, and ongoing quality activities, while conducting supplier audits, CAPA, and readiness evaluations for mass production.

The role requires English fluency, a mechanical/materials engineering background, and willingness to travel across Southeast Asia; hybrid

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related field.
• Fluency in English; Chinese a plus.
• Hands-on supplier quality engineering experience including supplier audit, onboarding, and new product development.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Experience in cross-functional/global MNC environment.
• Self-motivated, result-driven with customer focus.
• Willingness to travel across Southeast Asia region.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with company standards and customer requirements.
• Drive supplier development and continuous improvement initiatives, including supplier qualification, performance monitoring, and CAPA management.
• Collaborate with R&D, Production, Purchasing, and other cross-functional teams to support NPD, product transfers, and ongoing production quality activities.
• Conduct periodic supplier audits, process assessments, and quality evaluations to ensure manufacturing processes and quality systems meet required standards.
• Provide technical guidance and quality support to suppliers, ensuring effective quality control during new product introduction and mass production stages.
• Perform initial sample inspections, evaluate qualification samples, and verify supplier readiness prior to production release.
• Investigate supplier-related quality issues, lead root cause analysis and corrective actions, and coordinate resolution efforts with internal and external stakeholders.
