Job summary

Celestica in Malaysia seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer to drive improvements in supplier processes, monitor supplier performance, and coordinate corrective actions for quality concerns. The role includes leading CAPA activities, maintaining the SQE MRB area, and supporting continual improvement projects.

The ideal candidate will have a mechanical/PCB background with 3–5 years in related industries, and hands-on experience with SAP and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/E&E engineering.
• 3-5 years experience in mechanical part commodity, PCB industry.
• Advantage if having experience in contract manufacturing industry.
• Experience with MS Office applications and MS Windows operating systems, SAP.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit teamwork and participate in team activities.
• Identify opportunities for improvement within supplier processes and assist, as necessary, with the development and implementation of these improvement activities.
• Communicate with suppliers and internal customers on product quality concerns and initiate corrective and/or preventive actions for these concerns.
• Participate in continual improvement programs and activities to support the achievement of department KPI.
• Initiate, review and track Supplier Corrective Actions Requests until actions have been implemented and verified as effective
• Maintain SQE MRB area.
• When applicable, facilitate and supervise all sorting activities for material disposition.
• Supplier performance monitoring, supplier audit and FAIR process.
• Tracking, reporting and analysis of supplier nonconforming material and/or scrap
