Job summary

A leading manufacturing firm in Johor Bahru is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer who will be responsible for managing supplier quality issues, providing technical support, and driving continuous improvement processes. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in SQE, vendor management skills, and the ability to write detailed reports. This role requires effective communication with suppliers to achieve quality targets and enhance overall supplier performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) experience preferred.
• Experience in managing and resolving parts/process issues is necessary.
• Ability to generate reports and strong understanding of quality management tools.

Job description

Responsibilities

• 1. On-Site Response to quality issues to identify and resolve supplier quality and supplier process related issues to achieve defined Yield, Productivity and Quality targets
• 2. Drive and or initiate programs on NPI and Supply chain to develop supplier manufacturing processes and quality issues
• 3. Provide technical support and drive continuous improvement to improve Supplier’s Overall performance
• 4. Monitor and continually improve Supplier’s quality performance, generate monthly Suppler performance report and conduct Supplier Business review with suppliers
• 5. Conduct Supplier audits and First Article qualification on parts.
• 6. Participate in selection and qualification of new suppliers
• 7. Perform root cause analysis and prepare corrective/preventive action report; conduct failure analysis investigations on quality related issues
• 8. Continuously improve product quality, reducing reject and to bring company’s quality performance to highest level
• 9. Responsible for reviewing all inspections and quality performance reports related to Suppliers
• 10. Support internal and external audits

Qualifications

• 1. Vendor Management experience is preferred
• 2. Minimum 2 years of SQE Experience preferred
• 3. Experience in Managing and resolving parts/processes issues
• 4. Good communication and interpersonal skills to handle Supplier to derive results
• 5. Ability to write/generate reports is a must
• 6. Good understanding of Quality Management system and tools
