Job summary
Greatech Integration (M) Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to monitor supplier quality in fabrication, CNC operations, and IQA data. You will liaise with incoming inspection and buyers, drive supplier improvements, and support audits across QA, engineering, and manufacturing teams.
Responsibilities include supplier performance tracking, QA programs, QMS activities, and participation in supplier audits.
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechatronic/Manufacturing or equivalent years of related experience.
- Minimum 2 to 5 years working experience in hands-on quality assurance of fabrication on Metal Works & CNC Machining. Supplier quality engineer role. Supplier monitoring & development management.
- Work independently & communicate well with internal & external process owner.
- Good understanding on Metal Work and CNC machining process, drawing, tolerance & inspection operation (IQA, IPQA & OQA).
- Able to operate in-house measuring instruments such as caliper, micrometer, pin/block gauge & profile projector.
- Strong data analysis skill & able to monitor supplier quality performance & establish improvement plan. Supplier Audit.

- Supplier quality performance monitoring, evaluation & drive for improvement.
- To support the Purchasing department in the supplier quality performance evaluation & supplier audit.
- Participate in supplier audit, qualify or disqualify suppliers according to organization's standards.
- Maintain successful relationships with suppliers, engineering, manufacturing & regulatory departments.
- Assist in the development and implementation of supplier management programs.
- To compile monthly supplier performance evaluation data.
- To perform IQA weekly quality data collection and data analysis for the KPI reporting.
- To coordinate root cause analysis, corrective action, preventive action on supplier quality issues and promote mistake proofing approach.
- Assist in QMS establishment, implementation, maintenance and improvement.
- Assist customer audit and third party QMS certification assessment.
- Other duties and assignments as instructed by the QA Manager from time to time.
- To comply with all requirements of ISO (inclusive of all standards approved by the Management) and to adhere to general safety practices, standard operating procedure.
