Job summary

Arrow Electronics, Inc. in Gelang Patah, Johor is seeking a Supervisor, Warehouse to lead daily shipping, receiving, and inventory activities. You will oversee warehouse staff, coordinate with carriers, and optimize routes to ensure timely deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Oversee shipping and delivery of materials and warehouse staff.

• Supervise transport of products between locations.
• Conduct cost analyses of transport companies to pick cost-efficient options.
• Communicate with trucking firms, warehouse teams, and customers to ensure timely shipments.
• Analyze client needs and adjust inventory to meet demand.
• Coordinate daily activities of the support or production team and set priorities.
• Provide guidance to the team and participate in performance reviews.
• Train team members and enforce policies and procedures.

Supervisor, Warehouse

Job Description:

Monday to Saturday (5.5 day weekly)
Mon - Fri: 8:30am to 5.30pm
Sat: 8:30am to 12.30pm

Work Location: Arrow Electronics PTP, Gelang Patah, Johor

What You'll Be Doing

• Oversees the shipping and delivery of materials and warehouse personnel. Work in warehouse settings and for retailers and wholesalers and are involved in managing the loading of trucks, setting up delivery routes and unloading of material.
• Manage inventory and maintain communications with carriers, suppliers, warehouses, custom brokers and others involved in the shipping and delivery of merchandise.
• Oversee the transportation of products from one location to another, such as from loading docks to warehouses or warehouses to stores.
• Conduct a cost analysis of several transportation companies in order to select one that is cost-efficient and able to handle the shipment loads.
• Communicate with trucking companies, warehouse supervisors, customs brokers, sales forces and customers. Ensure that all parties are working together to guarantee that shipments are packed, sent and delivered in a timely manner. This responsibility includes contacting various transportation companies to get shipping quotes and deciding on the best carriers based on cost, availability and reliability.
• Study client or customer needs and manage inventory based on these needs. This often includes analyzing product orders to research the need for keeping certain items in stock. They are responsible for re-ordering product as needed to maintain sufficient inventory levels.
• Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of business or technical support or production team
• Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion
• Receives guidance and oversight from manager
• Accountable for the results of small‑size routine support or production operations team
• Solves problems based on set policies and procedures
• Trains team members and provides input to employee performance evaluations

• Degree or Diploma graduates.
• Computer literacy- WMS/DMS experience at advantage
• 5 years of relevant experience working in electronics manufacturing industry or warehouse.
• Willing to work overtime
