Job summary

WD is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering supervisor in Penang to lead technicians in sputter processes, coordinate end-to-end activities, and drive safety and quality. You will work across shifts to sustain production, troubleshoot, and implement improvements.

Candidates should hold a BSc/MSc in physics, materials science, or engineering, have 1–2 years of manufacturing experience (semiconductor preferred), and 2+ years in leadership.

Qualifications

• Requires a B.Sc./M.Sc. in Physics, Materials Science or an Engineering field.
• 1–2 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in semiconductor or electronics manufacturing.
• 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and precision.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with diverse teams.
• Strong technical report writing and presentation skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and coach technicians.
• Coordinate sputter systems activities from front end to back end and document the process.
• Audit sputter parameters and procedures, including online SPC and conformance.
• Collaborate with shift teams on sputter process sustaining, troubleshooting and improvement to meet yield and quality goals.
• Understand and accept responsibility for performing jobs safely.
• Other supervisor assigned tasks.
