Job summary

DXN International in Malaysia seeks a Plantation Supervisor to oversee daily plantation operations, including planting, fertilizing, pruning, spraying, weeding and harvesting. You will lead field workers and coordinate with estate managers to meet production targets.

The role requires strong leadership, ability to monitor safety practices, and report on labor, production, and inventory. You will travel within plantation areas and work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Certificate in Agriculture or equivalent required.
• Experience in plantation operations and team leadership preferred.
• Knowledge of fertilizers, pesticides, harvesting methods etc.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planting, fertilizing, pruning, spraying, weeding and harvesting daily.
• Monitor attendance, discipline, and productivity of workers.
• Allocate tasks and ensure timely completion of field work.
• Inspect fields for pests, diseases, or maintenance needs.

Job description

• Supervise daily plantation activities including planting, fertilizing, pruning, spraying, weeding, and harvesting.
• Monitor worker attendance, discipline, and productivity.
• Allocate tasks to field workers and ensure work is completed efficiently.
• Inspect plantation fields regularly to identify pest infestations, diseases, or maintenance issues.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, machinery, and equipment.
• Maintain records of field activities, labor, production, and inventory.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with estate managers, agronomists, and other departments regarding operational requirements.
• Train workers on plantation procedures, safety practices, and operational standards.
• Monitor fertilizer and chemical application according to approved guidelines.
• Assist in implementing productivity improvement initiatives.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.

Requirements

• Education & Qualifications- Diploma, Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Agriculture, Plantation Management, or related field.- Additional training in farm management or occupational safety is an advantage.
• Experience- Minimum 2–5 years of working experience in plantation or agricultural operations.- Previous supervisory or team-leading experience preferred.- Experience in crop maintenance, harvesting, and field operations.
• Skills & Competencies- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.- Ability to manage and motivate field workers.- Knowledge of plantation practices, fertilizers, pesticides, and harvesting methods.- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.- Basic computer knowledge for reporting and record keeping.- Good organizational and time management skills.
• Physical Requirements- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.- Willingness to travel within plantation areas.- Ability to work long hours during peak operational periods.
