Job summary

ARK ENGINEERING GROUP SDN. BHD. is expanding its engineering team in Miri, Sarawak, seeking an experienced Structural Engineer. You will design and size steel members, perform concrete design, and prepare calculations and reports to ensure safe, compliant structures.

The role requires proficiency in Autodesk Advance Steel and a solid understanding of structural analysis and drawings, with the ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• 3–5 years of relevant structural engineering experience.
• Strong experience in steel and concrete design.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Advance Steel preferred.
• Experience in steel connection design and checking.
• Ability to read, interpret and produce structural drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design and size steel structural members (beams, columns, braces).
• Perform concrete design for slabs and foundations.
• Prepare structural calculations, design documentation and technical reports.
• Develop and detail steel structures using Autodesk Advance Steel.
• Design and check non-standard steel connections and provide solutions.
• Review structural drawings for compliance with standards and project requirements.
• Coordinate with engineers and other disciplines to ensure constructibility.
• Provide technical support during fabrication, construction and project execution.
