Job summary

China State Construction & Engineering Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Lead Structural Design Manager to oversee the project lifecycle, coordinating with local C&S consultants to ensure timely design submissions and compliance with BS, MS, and local regulations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Civil/Structural Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience in structural design or design management in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in structural design or design management in Malaysia.
• Experience with international contractors, developers or C&S consultancy firms is highly preferred.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) with BEM will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of BS, MS, Malaysian authority requirements and PAM Contract administration.

• Lead structural design management throughout the project lifecycle.

• Lead Value Engineering initiatives to optimise structural systems, foundation design and construction costs.
• Provide technical support during construction, including design clarifications, variation orders and engineering solutions.
• Participate in design reviews, inspections, testing and project completion activities.
• Develop structural design standards, technical procedures and best practices.
