Job summary

McKinsey & Company is seeking a junior associate to join our client service teams in Malaysia. You will own a workstream, tackle tough problems, and deliver actionable plans that drive long-term change alongside a diverse, high-performing group of colleagues.

You will collaborate with clients and teams, applying research, interviews, and data analysis to generate fresh insights. Expect apprenticeship and coaching as you grow toward leadership.

Qualifications

• Degree / education requirements vary by country or practice.
• Excellent organization capabilities, including the ability to initiate tasks independently and see them through to completion.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and local office language(s).
• Proficient in rational decision making based on data, facts, and logical reasoning.
• Ability to create work product–focused outputs, including PowerPoint decks and Excel models.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of a workstream to solve challenging client problems.
• Work with clients to uncover underlying challenges behind a client’s strategy.
• Collaborate with McKinsey colleagues across teams to generate insights and practical solutions.
• Translate research, data, and interviews into actionable plans that drive change.
• Support transformations and help clients sustain improvements after engagement ends.
