Job summary

SAM Engineering & Equipment (M) Bhd in Malaysia seeks a seasoned Manager, Supply Chain Management to lead end-to-end procurement, inventory control, and on-time delivery for the EMS and equipment integration business. You will work with Program Management, Operations and Engineering to drive efficiency, cost effectiveness and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive SCM experience in manufacturing.
• At least 3 years of experience in a program- or project-driven manufacturing environment.
• EMS/contract manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong procurement, inventory, supplier management, production planning and logistics capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with organizational objectives, focusing on equipment integration.
• Onboard reliable suppliers; negotiate terms to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
• Oversee procurement, ensuring timely acquisition of materials for manufacturing and maintaining optimal inventory.
• Collaborate with program, operations and management teams for related SCM matters.
• Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals to meet company goals.
• Identify risks and mitigate disruptions; continuously improve processes and leverage technology.
