Job summary

Camaroe Berhad is seeking a procurement specialist to source, negotiate, and purchase packaging materials and production equipment, ensuring the best price, quality, and lead times in collaboration with Production and Engineering.

You will monitor stock levels, coordinate export packaging design with customers and suppliers, check artwork and labeling for destination markets, and maintain purchasing records while coordinating with Finance on payments and reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Chinese for communicating with customers and suppliers
• Proficient in English for correspondence
• Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia for correspondence with other parties

Responsibilities

• Source, negotiate, and purchase packaging materials (master cartons, PE bags, printed packs, labels, strapping, pallets) at the best price, quality, and lead time
• Source and purchase production equipment, spare parts, and consumables, working with Production/Engineering to confirm specifications before ordering
• Monitor packaging and material stock levels against production and shipment schedules, and place orders early to avoid shortages
• Coordinate export packaging design between customers and suppliers: collect requirements, brief suppliers, and manage drafts, revisions, and approvals
• Check artwork and incoming packaging for accuracy, food-grade compliance, and labelling requirements for the destination market
• Follow up on deliveries, installation, and after-sales support so materials and equipment arrive and perform on time
• Maintain purchasing records (POs, delivery orders, invoices, supplier certificates) and work with Finance on payments and reconciliation
• Build and maintain supplier relationships, and review supplier performance regularly
• Prepare purchasing reports, price comparisons, and cost tracking for management
