Randstad Malaysia is seeking a strategic Purchasing Manager to lead trading procurement, source high-quality goods, and negotiate favorable terms. You will manage supplier relationships, monitor market trends, and align procurement with inventory and sales strategies.

The role requires 8+ years in procurement within a trading environment, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency with SAP/Oracle and advanced Excel. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Kuala Lumpur.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing, especially in a trading or fast-moving environment.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and contract management skills; proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, International Trading, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Sourcing: identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable global and local suppliers to expand trading portfolio.
• Commercial Negotiation: lead contract negotiations, pricing structures, and payment terms to ensure optimal margins.
• Market Analysis: monitor market trends, price fluctuations, and demand shifts to inform purchasing decisions.
• Inventory & Supply Management: collaborate with logistics and sales to align procurement with inventory needs and prevent stockouts or overstocking.
• Supplier Performance: establish and track KPIs for vendor performance and ensure quality and on-time delivery.
