Job summary

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Purchasing, Procurement or Engineering.
• Experience with capital equipment procurement is preferred.
• Strong supplier sourcing, negotiation and analytical skills.
• Good knowledge of supplier management and cost reduction.
• Experience with ERP systems is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Source fabrication parts, standard components, modules and indirect materials.
• Identify and evaluate suppliers based on capability, quality, cost and delivery.
• Negotiate with suppliers for competitive pricing and quality.
• Manage supplier relationships and improvement projects.
• Drive cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor supplier lead time and material availability.
• Maintain supplier and purchasing records.
• Work closely with Purchasing, Quality and other departments.
• Support supplier reviews and the Zero Defect Program.
• Handle other ad hoc assignments when required.
