Job summary

KK Straits International Education Sdn Bhd is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the school’s finance function, drive day-to-day financial activities, and partner with school leadership. The role emphasizes accurate reporting, statutory compliance, and robust budgeting aligned with strategic educational objectives.

The successful candidate will manage treasury, insurance, and internal controls while guiding a small finance team and coordinating with regional finance on group requirements.

Qualifications

• Oversee day-to-day finance activities including record-to-report, payables, receivables, cashflow, tax compliance and finance business partnering.
• Provide timely and accurate financial and management reporting in line with governing standards and group requirements.
• Prepare and analyze Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet including accruals, reconciliations and revenue recognition.
• Coordinate external statutory audits and ensure compliance with IFRS/MFRS requirements.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and CAPEX/OPEX control with school SLT.
• Manage treasury, cashflow reporting and ensure adequate funding and insurance cover.

Responsibilities

• Present financial reports to Campus Principal, Regional Finance and stakeholders.
• Review journal entries and ensure General Ledger accuracy.
• Collaborate with School SLT on annual budgets aligned with educational goals.
• Ensure timely statutory audits and tax submissions.
• Drive continuous improvement and automation of reporting processes.
• Direct report to School Campus Principal with matrix reporting to Regional Financial Controller.
