Job summary

Raffles American School in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Finance Executive to oversee financial operations, improve reporting accuracy, and support budgeting with the Finance Manager and HQ. The role emphasizes statutory compliance and robust internal controls in an education environment.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's in accounting/finance (ACCA/CPA preferred) with at least 3 years in financial management, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in accounting software and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; ACCA/CPA preferred.
• Minimum 3 years in a similar financial management role, preferably in education.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, reporting standards, and internal controls.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review full set of accounts and financial reports for submission to Finance Manager and HQ.
• Prepare monthly cash flow projections and revise annual tax estimations.
• Update marketing and budgeting figures in coordination with relevant departments.
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of the yearly tax return.
• Oversee year-end statutory audit process and manage annual returns with company secretary.
• Verify POs, PVs, and CERs prior to approvals.
• Maintain robust internal control systems and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage and report on the financials of related dormant companies.
• Perform other finance-related tasks as required.
