Job summary

TNG Digital in Malaysia invites experienced professionals to lead release management across platforms, balancing risk and speed. You will own release plans, coordinate with SRE, engineering and QA, and drive improvements in runbooks and tooling to ensure consistent, auditable deployments.

You will analyze release data, generate retrospectives, and automate reporting while navigating overnight windows and regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• Professional cloud certification.
• 4+ years in release management, deployment engineering, DevOps, SRE, or a closely related delivery function.
• Experience in financial services, payments, or another regulated environment.
• Experience with release governance in an audited environment.
• Data and reporting capability — SQL, scripting, or dashboard building to automate release reporting.
• Demonstrated willingness to hold a release decision under pressure.
• Analytical capability across multiple releases to identify recurring patterns.
• Strong written communication for retrospectives and leadership reporting.
• Practical understanding of deployment mechanics: canary rollouts, feature flags, staged releases, rollback/forward-fix trade-offs.
• Working proficiency with Jira and Confluence, including writing your own JQL.
• Willingness to work a shifted schedule including overnight release windows.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly.

Responsibilities

• Release ownership and end-to-end execution across platforms.
• Coordinate with SRE, Engineering, and QA during the release window.
• Maintain and improve release runbooks, checklists, and tooling.
• Verify maker–checker completion on privileged changes.
• Coordinate canary deployments, feature flags, and staged rollouts.
• Review and audit release plans for risk and scope before window opens.
• Produce release retrospectives and monthly snapshot reports.
• Track rollbacks, hotfixes, App Store rejections, and release plan changes.
