Job summary

Starhub Ltd in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia is seeking a Senior Release Manager to oversee software releases across the SDLC and Agile Release Management processes. You will coordinate with DevOps, QA, product owners, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless deployments while minimizing risk.

The role requires strong background in release planning, CI/CD pipelines, risk management, and ITIL processes, with experience across traditional and Agile frameworks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Release Management, Change Management, or DevOps.
• Strong SDLC, Agile methodologies (Scrum/SAFe/Kanban) and ITIL knowledge.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, Bamboo).
• Proven track record releasing mobile apps via App Store and Google Play.
• Experience integrating mobile builds into CI/CD workflows.
• Proficiency with Git, Bitbucket, SVN and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Define, manage, and improve the release process across SDLC and Agile frameworks.
• Coordinate with Product Owners, Developers, QA, DevOps and stakeholders for successful releases.
• Maintain a release calendar and track dependencies across teams.
• Oversee release readiness with Go/No-Go meetings and change management.
• Collaborate with DevOps to automate deployments and monitor post-release stability.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and audit trails.
