Job summary

CNECC Engineering (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to contribute to cost estimation and budgeting for construction projects. You will prepare tender documents, review subcontractor quotations, and monitor cost performance to identify variances.

Qualifications include a Diploma or higher in relevant fields, experience in cost estimation, familiarity with local standards, and proficiency in Excel and QS software. English and Malay fluency are essential; Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

Diploma or above in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or Civil Engineering
Experience in quantity surveying or cost estimation for construction projects
Familiar with Malaysian construction cost standards and local market rates
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and QS software
Fluent in English and Malay; proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage

Responsibilities

Prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates and project budgets based on drawings and specifications.
Calculate material, labor and equipment costs according to design changes and site conditions.
Prepare tender documents, quotations, progress claims and final account submissions.
Review subcontractor quotations, verify quantities and participate in price negotiations.
Monitor and analyze project cost performance, identifying variances and proposing corrective actions.
Assist Project Manager in procurement, cost control and financial planning.
Handle project final accounts and support financial reconciliation.
Ensure all cost and contractual documents are accurate and compliant with company policies.
