Job summary

Private Advertiser in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Purchasing & Material Planning Executive to plan material and purchasing needs, monitor forecasts, and coordinate PR/PO activities with suppliers and production teams. Role requires sourcing new suppliers and maintaining compliance documentation.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in a related field, 3+ years' experience, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency in Excel.

Qualifications

Degree in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration or related field.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications may also be considered.
Good communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

Plan material and purchasing requirements based on customer forecasts and production needs.
Monitor forecasts and take action to prevent material shortages or excess inventory.
Handle PR and PO activities and follow up on supplier deliveries.
Source raw materials and new suppliers.
Negotiate quotations based on price, terms, quality and delivery.
Coordinate closely with Production Planning, Sales and suppliers.
Monitor material availability and delivery schedules.
Maintain SDS, REACH, RoHS and other relevant documentation.
Coordinate raw-material shipment/call-off activities when required.
