Job summary

ResMed Inc. is seeking a Production Controller in Malaysia to develop, maintain, and monitor production plans that balance customer demand with inventory, capacity, and material availability.

Qualifications

• Required Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Production Planning, Production Control, Supply Planning, Master Scheduling, or a related Supply Chain function.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and production planning processes.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Preferred Experience using ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JDE, or similar.
• Experience with Master Production Scheduling (MPS).
• Experience in capacity planning and inventory management.
• Exposure to NPI and supply review processes.
• Experience within medical device, electronics, or high-volume manufacturing environments.
• APICS/CPIM certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Production Planning & Scheduling: Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on customer demand and operational requirements.
• Review and adjust production schedules based on material availability and manufacturing capacity.
• Monitor schedule adherence and production performance.
• Ensure production plans align with customer delivery commitments.
• Supply Planning & Capacity Management: Lead the Supply Review process to identify capacity and supply constraints.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop mitigation plans for production risks.
• Monitor short-term and long-term capacity requirements.
• Support planning activities for new product introductions and product transfers.
• Inventory Management: Balance inventory levels while meeting production and customer requirements.
• Monitor inventory performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
• Work with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to minimize shortages and excess inventory.
• Stakeholder Management: Partner with Demand Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, and Customer Service teams to ensure alignment on production priorities.
• Communicate production risks, supply issues, and schedule changes to stakeholders.
• Manage expectations regarding delivery commitments and production constraints.
• Reporting & Continuous Improvement: Analyze planning and production performance data.
• Prepare and maintain production planning reports and KPIs.
• Drive process improvements related to planning accuracy, inventory performance, and schedule attainment.
• Support initiatives that improve operational efficiency and supply chain performance.
