Job summary

Hovid Bhd in Ipoh, Perak is seeking a Planning Executive who is organized, detail-oriented and proactive. You will manage production planning, scheduling, material coordination and shipment allocation to ensure smooth operations.

You will collaborate with Production, Sales, Warehouse and Procurement to meet customer requirements while optimizing plant capacity. Proficiency with SAP or BAAN and strong Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in production planning, scheduling, supply chain or manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience in production planning and scheduling preferred.
• Experience with SAP or BAAN ERP systems.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills for planning data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate production activities based on orders, demand and delivery requirements.
• Develop, maintain and monitor production schedules based on capacity, lead times and cycle times.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure availability of materials and production requirements.
• Monitor progress and adjust schedules to meet delivery commitments.
• Allocate finished products for shipment based on sales demand and customer requirements.
• Maintain BOM in BAAN per change control procedures.
• Liaise with internal departments to support day-to-day operations.
• Identify planning issues and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve them.
• Ensure compliance with policies, quality requirements and safety regulations.
• Participate in Lean, continuous improvement and productivity initiatives.
• Support risk assessment, mitigation and contingency planning.
• Prepare and maintain planning reports and records.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Planning Manager.
