Job summary

PPG Petaling Jaya is seeking a Production Planner to work onsite in Malaysia. You will report to the Production Planning Manager and be responsible for establishing production plans and schedules to meet delivery dates across business units, coordinating materials with procurement, and ensuring smooth workflow with inter departments.

The role requires a degree, at least 1 year of experience, and ideally experience in the chemical sector. Proficiency with Oracle is an advantage.

Qualifications

Minimum Degree in any relevant courses.
Minimum 1 years of working experience.
Have working experience preferably in chemical industry.
Experience in Oracle will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

Check and analyze customer's orders and forecast trend.
To establish overall production planning and scheduling to meet customer's delivery date in the respective Business Unit.
To perform production planning and scheduling, material planning for day-to-day manufacturing requirements.
Coordinate with Raw Material Planners and procurement teams to ensure raw material and packaging supplies are available in time for scheduled batches.
To generate and issue Batch Cards, coordinate with inter departments related to planning work flow.
To monitor production planning and scheduling to meet the target output and timeline.
Monitor finished goods and raw material usage levels to avoid stockouts while minimizing holding costs and obsolete material accumulation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Customer Service, Sales, Quality Assurance, and Operations to resolve capacity constraints, manage urgent customer requests, and implement recovery schedules.
New Product Integration: Facilitate smooth scheduling and material preparation for new product introductions (NPI), industrial trials and color matchings.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure all planning processes comply with PPG Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) guidelines and international quality standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001).
