Job summary

Sulzer is a leading engineering company seeking a Procurement Engineer to manage purchasing for direct, indirect, OPEX, CAPEX and project buys. You will source suppliers, obtain quotations, negotiate terms, issue POs, and coordinate deliveries across global operations.

The role emphasizes supplier relationship management, cost reduction, LEAN procurement, and collaboration with Engineering and Project teams to ensure on-time, compliant procurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain.
• 5–8 years procurement experience in EPC, Oil & Gas, Process Equipment, Chemical, Energy, or Industrial projects.
• Experience with international sourcing and global supply chains.
• Fluent English; Mandarin is an advantage.
• SAP procurement experience and willingness to learn Digital Procurement.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of direct, indirect, OPEX, CAPEX and project buyouts.
• Develop procurement plans for assigned projects and manage long lead items.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations and conduct commercial negotiations.
• Lead sourcing for engineered equipment, fabricated packages, and subcontracted services.
• Coordinate supplier audits with Quality and Engineering teams.
• Manage supplier relationships to improve cost, quality, and on-time delivery.
