Job summary

Advanced Electronic Materials (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a responsible Assistant Finance Manager to join our team. You will help set up and improve financial processes, support daily operations, and ensure accurate reporting with strong internal controls.

You will oversee AP/AR/GL, prepare monthly statements, manage budgeting and cash flow, and coordinate audits and tax submissions in Malaysia. Strong leadership, English and Bahasa Malaysia communication are essential, with proficiency in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a managerial role.
• Professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent) advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and financial regulations.
• Proficient in accounting software and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full set of accounts including AP, AR, GL, month-end and year-end closing.
• Prepare accurate monthly financial statements, management reports, and financial analysis.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements in Malaysia.
• Coordinate audits, tax submissions, and liaise with auditors, bankers, tax agents and other relevant parties.
• Monitor financial performance, identify risks, and recommend cost controls.
• Supervise and guide the accounts/finance team to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Implement and improve accounting policies, financial procedures, and internal controls.
• Support management in financial decision-making and strategic planning.
