Job summary

Talent Recruit seeks a Director to lead the Legal Services Division, overseeing Legal Advisory, Prosecution and Secretarial sections in Malaysia. The role safeguards the organization’s legal interests, manages litigation, and drives legislative drafting and amendments.

Responsibilities include leading division operations, providing expert advisory services, drafting and negotiating core documents, managing litigation, and conducting research to stay updated on legal developments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) (Hons.) with a Professional Legal Practice Qualification.
• Minimum of 15 years in the legal field with at least 5 years heading a department.
• Strong analytical skills and sound legal judgment.
• Capable of solving problems and making decisions efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations and strategic direction of the Legal Advisory, Prosecution and Secretarial sections.
• Provide expert legal advice on governing laws and subsidiary legislation.
• Draft, review and negotiate core legal documents; oversee subsidiary legislation.
• Oversee all litigation matters and respond to demand letters.
• Attend meetings and conduct legal research to stay updated.
