Job summary

GamBit Group Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a proactive Legal Manager to oversee legal matters across the Group and its subsidiaries, including our trust and estate planning services.

You will provide practical legal advice, draft and review contracts, manage documentation, and liaise with external counsel to safeguard the Group's interests and support business objectives. You will work closely with Compliance and various departments, develop standard legal templates and policies, and guide management on

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years in corporate legal affairs, commercial contracts, trust services, estate planning, or related field.
• Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts and legal documents.
• Good knowledge of corporate law, contract law, governance, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with trust deeds, will-writing, estate planning, fiduciary services is a plus.
• Experience coordinating external legal counsel and managing legal matters independently.
• Strong analytical, drafting, negotiation, problem-solving, and commercially oriented mindset.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work with management and stakeholders.
• Proficient in MS Office or Google Workspace.
• Proficiency in English, BM and Mandarin is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage legal matters across the Group and subsidiaries, advising on commercial, operational, corporate, contractual, and regulatory matters.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on commercial agreements, trust deeds, wills, MOUs, NDAs, employment agreements, SOPs, and internal policies.
• Identify legal risks and provide mitigation measures and alternatives; advise on implications of business decisions.
• Provide will-writing and estate planning services to clients, including preparing documents and advising on options.
• Coordinate with external lawyers, law firms, and advisers; manage costs and dispute resolution.
• Collaborate with Compliance to support regulatory compliance and monitor developments.
• Support corporate governance matters, including board/shareholder resolutions and documentation.
• Develop and maintain standard legal templates, templates, templates, and SOPs to strengthen governance and operations.
• Provide legal support to all departments on contractual, employment, and business matters.
• Conduct internal training on legal, regulatory, and risk management topics.
• Prepare legal assessments and recommendations for management.
• Undertake any other legal or related duties as assigned.
