Job summary

The University of Nottingham Malaysia is seeking a dynamic HR professional to join our team as HR Business Partner. This role collaborates with managers and staff to deliver strategic HR initiatives that align with faculty goals and foster a supportive, high-performing culture.

You will advise on employee relations, recruitment, development, and change management, using data to inform decisions and drive organisational development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Understanding of human behaviour in the workplace and organisational culture.
• 5-8 years of HR experience in HR, talent management/acquisition, or organisational development.
• Strong skills in handling employee relations issues and maintaining a positive work environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for all levels.
• Knowledge of performance management processes, including goal setting and reviews.
• Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Heads of Department to develop HR strategies aligned with faculty objectives using data insights to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Advise managers on employee relations, performance and workplace matters.
• Support talent acquisition, development and management activities including recruitment and succession planning.
• Coach managers on performance management processes including goal setting and reviews.
• Support organisational change initiatives to enhance organisational effectiveness and talent development.
• Lead delivery of HR programmes with measures to evaluate effectiveness.
• Analyse HR data to inform management decisions and improve HR practices.
• Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and service delivery through technology.
