Shell Business Operations (SBO) in Malaysia is seeking an experienced FP&A Senior Advisor to enable high-quality business decisions through robust planning, performance management, and forward-looking analytics. You will partner with business and finance leadership, translating commercial drivers into actionable financial insights and interventions.

Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years of significant experience in financial planning, business appraisal, performance management or related finance functions.
Proven track record partnering with senior business stakeholders to influence decisions and deliver measurable outcomes.
Strong understanding of financial statements, value drivers, planning cycles, forecasting and performance reporting.
Experience leading teams or cross-functional delivery in matrixed organizations.
Experience with digital finance tools, data visualization, automation, analytics or driver-based planning solutions is highly desirable.
Professional finance qualification, accounting qualification, MBA or relevant business/finance degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead integrated planning and forecasting across planning, latest estimate and appraisal processes.
Drive performance management by monitoring financial and operational performance against targets and opportunities.
Provide business appraisal and decision support with sound financial logic and business judgement.
Generate actionable options and recommendations using dashboards and analytics for senior leadership decisions.
Strengthen financial discipline and controls across planning, reporting and appraisal activities.
Partner with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to align priorities and influence decisions.
Enable digital and analytics transformation through automation, self-service reporting and driver-based modelling.
