Job summary

CARRO in Malaysia (Selangor, Shah Alam) is seeking a Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst to join our growing finance team. You will develop annual budgeting templates, consolidate forecasts, and provide analytical insight to support strategic decisions.

You will monitor performance against budget, track regional KPIs, collaborate with departments, support month-end close, and identify process improvements. Strong Excel and Power BI skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent qualifications.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in financial analysis, corporate business development, M&A, or capital raising.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Highly proactive, self-motivated team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across all levels.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Tech-savvy with a keen interest in financial systems; knowledge of Power BI or similar tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop annual templates for budgets, actual vs. budget comparisons, and financial roll forwards for the new fiscal year.
• Assist in consolidating annual budgets and forecasts for the organization.
• Monitor and analyze performance against budget, track KPIs for each region at each closing, identify variances, and provide insightful commentary.
• Collaborate with various other departments and cross-functional teams to gather necessary information and provide analytical support.
• Support month-end accounting activities, including reviewing Profit & Loss statements and completing other related tasks.
• Identify opportunities for improving current operational processes and recommend enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Engage in ad hoc projects and take on additional duties as needed.
