Job summary

Ambition in Selangor is seeking a Financial Controller who will partner with the CEO and lead the finance function in a lean, high-growth food manufacturer.

You will own reporting, budgeting, cash flow, capex reviews, and performance analytics, while strengthening controls and collaborating across operations, supply chain, and sales.

Experience in manufacturing, professional accounting qualification, and hands-on leadership are a must; SAP exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Background in financial control or senior finance, with exposure to manufacturing or food production
• Working understanding of plant operations and supply chain dynamics
• Ability to lead a finance team and engage confidently with senior stakeholders
• Hands-on approach, with leadership maturity to operate at senior level

Responsibilities

• Preparing management accounts and financial reports to support executive decision-making
• Leading the budgeting and forecasting cycle with action-oriented commentary on risks and opportunities
• Evaluating project profitability, capex decisions, and marketing spend performance
• Supporting commercial teams on margin analysis, pricing, and distributor reviews
• Overseeing working capital, cash flow forecasting, and FX management
• Strengthening internal controls and driving process improvements, including via SAP
