Job summary

Nestlé Malaysia is seeking a Costing Specialist to deliver accurate costing analyses, financial reporting, and business insights for informed decision-making. You will ensure costing accuracy, drive transparency, and support continuous improvement within the Finance function.

Key responsibilities include budgeting, cost variance analysis, SAP data maintenance, and collaboration with Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain and Finance teams to optimise costs and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3–5 years experience in Finance, Costing or Financial Analysis.
• Experience in manufacturing costing or supply chain finance.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, standard costing and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Excel, with financial reporting experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with business insight.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyse and maintain product costing and standard costs for reporting accuracy.
• Monitor actual costs against budgets and forecasts, identifying key cost drivers and risks.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting and standard costing with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure compliance with Nestlé accounting and costing standards and internal controls.
• Conduct cost and profitability analyses to support pricing and portfolio decisions.
• Review manufacturing variances and provide transparency on key cost drivers to stakeholders.
• Analyse financial performance indicators and provide management insights and recommendations.
• Maintain costing master data in SAP and other systems to ensure data integrity.
• Participate in continuous improvement and cost-optimisation projects.
• Support period-end closing activities and financial reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to provide costing expertise.
