Job summary
BP is seeking a Category Strategy Support Manager to put category strategy at the center of Rail and Bulk Fuel Road Logistics. You will work with category managers and suppliers to turn insights into sourcing and value delivery initiatives.
The role requires 8–10 years in Indirect Procurement, with experience in Rail and Bulk Fuel logistics. Flexibility to work shift-based hours is expected, with ASPAC/EU and ASPAC/US coverage.
Qualifications
- Degree in Business, Procurement, logistics or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 8-10 years' experience in Indirect Procurement, Category Management or Strategic Sourcing.
- Experience supporting Rail and Bulk Fuel Road logistics or similar complex logistics categories.
Responsibilities
- Develop and support clear category strategies for Rail and Bulk Fuel Road Logistics.
- Translate market insight and supplier intelligence into sourcing and supplier management actions.
- Prepare concise presentations and communications to align stakeholders.
- Conduct market, supplier and demand analysis to identify risks and opportunities.
- Support demand planning and business-case development for category initiatives.
- Manage strategic and core suppliers with performance reviews and improvement plans.
