Job summary

BP plc in Malaysia seeks a Category Strategy Support Manager to shape category strategies, align with business goals, and optimize supply chain performance across ASPAC regions. You will develop strategic presentations, lead supplier performance initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to deliver value while ensuring contract compliance and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in procurement or business or equivalent experience.
8-10 years professional experience in Indirect Procurement is required.
Experience working cross-culturally in an international environment.
Ability to communicate and influence across different levels in the organisation.
Engaging and collaborative way of working.
Resilient in wide-ranging environments.

Responsibilities

Develop category strategies and presentations for decision-making.
Support demand planning, organizational change, and strategic sourcing initiatives.
Handle end-to-end tactical categories including stakeholder engagement.
Monitor and report category KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives.
Drive standardization of category processes and templates.
Identify opportunities for efficiency and commercial value through scope and spend reviews.
Lead supplier performance management activities and risk assessments.
Build strong supplier relationships to ensure value delivery and contract compliance.
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to resolve supplier issues.
Support contract management and supplier risk mitigation.
Manage SAP Ariba channels, catalogs, and category content for compliance and usability.
Implement controls to reduce procurement risk.
