Job summary

HLA Garment (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is recruiting for a Management Trainee in a fast-paced retail environment. The 6-month program covers close sales skills, stock management, VM, finance, and HR, with in-store training and a period of learning in multiple stores to build operations and business skills.

After completion, you will work as store PIC and may be nominated as store manager based on performance. Training is comprehensive, with sponsorships for certifications and strong promotion prospects

Qualifications

• Experience in stock control and store operations is preferred.
• Familiarity with visual merchandising standards and sales processes.
• Ability to liaise with customers in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Conduct stock takes and manage storeroom stock.
• Execute Visual Merchandising in-store to VM standards.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, policies, and profit protection measures.
• Foster sales and service culture among team members.
• Handle month-end paperwork for Finance & HR.
• Create and publish social media content for store channels.

Job description

This is a management trainee position within a retail environment. Candidates will undergo a 6-month structured training program covering close sales skills, stock management, visual merchandise, finance management, and human resource management. Training will be conducted in-store, followed by a period of work and learning in stores to become familiar with store operations and business skills. Upon completion, successful candidates will work as store PIC (Person In Charge) in the store, with potential to be nominated as store managers based on outstanding performance.

Key responsibilities

Conduct stock takes in the store to control stock loss and manage storeroom stock efficiently

Handle and execute Visual Merchandise in-store by following VM standards

Ensure full compliance with the company's SOP, policies, procedures, profit protection measures, rules, and regulations

Build a strong sales and service culture among team members and workplace

Handle paperwork for month closing for Finance & HR

Manage and post content on social media platforms

Create and publish posts on social media platforms

About you

Must be able to work according to Retail Shifts, Weekends, and Public Holidays

Good knowledge of spoken English, as you are required to liaise with Mandarin-speaking customers and Bahasa Malaysia

Customer service experience will be valuable

Fresh graduates without experience are welcome to apply, as there will be training provided
