Job summary

Intel Corporation in Malaysia, Penang, is seeking a College Grad Electrical Engineer to design and validate digital and analog circuits, optimize power and performance, and contribute to standard cell libraries for Intel product teams. The role emphasizes hands-on design, modeling and verification across front-end and back-end flows.

Responsibilities

  • Perform parasitic extraction and optimization to improve power, performance and density.
  • Develop automation flows for library modeling, validation and reliability verification.
  • Characterize libraries for timing, noise and variation and create front-end/back-end models.
  • Build, validate and release standard cell libraries for design teams and foundry projects.

Responsibilities
  • Designing and implementing combinational, sequential, and power-management circuits targeting Intel's latest process technologies.
  • Performing parasitic extraction and optimization to achieve best-in-class power, performance, robustness, and density.
  • Developing automation flows for library modeling, validation, quality checking, performance and reliability verification.
  • Characterizing libraries for timing, noise, power, variation, and generating both front-end and back-end models.
  • Building, validating, releasing, and supporting standard cell libraries for Intel product teams and Intel Foundry customer design projects.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, VLSI, Microelectronics, or another closely related electrical field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Additional Qualifications
  • Knowledgeable in digital circuit design, including CMOS combinational logic and sequential element design and layout.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard EDA tools in one or more of the following areas: Circuit simulation Cell characterization Logic synthesis Place-and-route Physical design verification Reliability verification.
  • Scripting experience for design automation using one or more of: TCL, Perl, Python, csh (or similar).
  • Knowledge of Linux environments and common Linux-based development tools.
