Job summary

Sandisk is seeking a senior Product Engineer to design comprehensive wafer test plans for 3D NAND technologies and to lead failure analysis across qualification stages. You will define test architectures, automate tests, and drive quality across wafer-scale platforms.

The role requires deep expertise in wafer testing, Die Sort, burn-in, scripting, and a track record in semiconductor IC environments; strong collaboration with cross‑functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• PhD/MSc/MEng/Degree in E&E or Telecommunication.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in Product Engineering/Failure analysis & Semiconductor IC.
• Wafer test processes - Die Sort, Wafer level burn-in, test systems and scripting proficiency is must.

Responsibilities

• Designs a complete framework of a Functional Product Test Plan for wafer based on 3D NAND technology.
• Designs processes for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility; specialization in wafer test plans is highly desirable.
• Conceives system interfaces and business application prototypes; identifies, analyzes and resolves design weaknesses.
• Performs failure analysis on qualification failures.
• Influences future product shaping by contributing to cross‑product architecture frameworks.
• Designs, develops, and implements testing and troubleshooting methods for NPI phases of product development.
• Prepares test/diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, and completes specifications for new products.
• Plans labor, schedules, and equipment for testing and evaluating devices.
• Evaluates test strategy to fit quality of test for new products.
• Develops product characterization parameters using test platforms or instrumentation.
• Performs analytical studies using SPC/MiniTab/JMP, conducts FMEA, and coordinates with other engineering groups.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participates in designing a complete comprehensive framework of Functional Product Test Plan for wafer based on 3D NAND technology.
• Participates in designing processes for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility. Specialization in wafer test plans, process, test equipment's is highly desirable. Wafter test process including Die sort, wafter level burn-in, various failure modes are mandatory skills.
• Conceives system interfaces and business application prototypes. Identifies, analyzes and resolves system design weaknesses.
• Failure analysis on qualification failures
• Influences the shaping of future products by contributing to the framework (architecture) used across multiple products or systems.
• Participates in designing, developing, and implementing effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment for NPI phases of product development and manufacturing.
• Provides multi-layered technical expertise for next generation initiatives.
• Prepares test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, and completes specifications and procedures for new products.
• Plans the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices.
• Participates in evaluating test strategy to best fit the quality-of-test for new product
• Develops Product characterization parameters by using test platform or instrumentation
• Performs analytical study by using statistical tools – SPC/MiniTab/JMP, conduct FMEA, custom DOE, prepare and liaise with other support Engineering groups for efficient manufacturing test platform
• Analyzing, troubleshooting and fixing issues discovered by internal test teams or by customer use of the products.
• Representing the team in one or more multi-disciplined engineering core team(s).

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

• PhD/MSc/MEng/Degree in E&E or Telecommunication.
• Minimum 10+ Years of experience in Product Engineering/Failure analysis & Semiconductor IC
• Wafer test processes - Die Sort, Wafer level burn-in, test systems and scripting proficiency is must.

Skills

• Candidate with deep HBM product development experience will have advantage.
• Candidates with deep electronics knowledge will have advantage.
