Job summary

Mawar Medical Centre in Malaysia seeks a dedicated oncology nurse to provide high-quality nursing care for cancer patients in our hospital division. The role emphasizes compassionate care, safety, and adherence to clinical standards.

You will assess and document patient conditions, administer chemotherapy and other treatments, educate families, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Diploma in nursing required.
• Post Basic Oncology Nursing certification preferred.
• 1–3 years nursing experience; oncology experience advantageous.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and ethics.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to oncology patients according to established standards and procedures.
• Assess, monitor, and document patients' health conditions and treatment progress.
• Administer medications, chemotherapy, and other prescribed treatments safely and accurately.
• Monitor patients for side effects, complications, and adverse reactions during treatment.
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing records and documentation.
• Assist doctors and healthcare teams during examinations and procedures.
• Educate patients and family on treatment plans, medications, nutrition, and home care.
• Support pain management and symptom control for oncology patients.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and hospital policies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver effective patient care.
• Respond to emergencies and changes in patient conditions.
• Participate in continuous learning and professional development activities.
• Uphold patient confidentiality and nursing ethics.

Job description
