Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognised institution.
• Registered with the Malaysian Nursing Board / LJM.
• Valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC).

• Experience in aesthetic clinic/dermatology/outpatient care is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care before, during and after treatment.
• Assist practitioners during aesthetic and other procedures within scope of practice.
• Prepare patients, treatment rooms, equipment and consumables.
• Take and document vital signs and observations.
• Monitor patients and report abnormalities to the doctor.
• Provide pre- and post-treatment instructions per doctor and clinic protocols.
• Maintain infection control, waste disposal and cleanliness of rooms and equipment.
• Maintain patient records and proper storage of medicines and supplies.
• Support staff training and continuous professional development.

Job description

Anna Hoo Clinic is looking for a professional, caring and responsible Registered Staff Nurse to join our clinical team.

You will work closely with our doctors and clinic team to provide safe, high-quality patient care and support the delivery of aesthetic medical services.

This role is suitable for nurses who enjoy a patient-facing environment and are interested in developing their experience in aesthetic medicine, outpatient care and premium patient service.

Key Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing care to patients before, during and after treatment.

Assist registered medical practitioners during aesthetic and other medical procedures within the nurse's authorised scope of practice and demonstrated competency.

Prepare patients, treatment rooms, medical equipment, consumables and required clinical materials before procedures.

Take and document patients' vital signs and relevant observations when required.

Monitor patients during and following procedures and promptly report abnormalities or concerns to the attending doctor.

Provide patients with appropriate pre-treatment and post-treatment instructions according to the doctor's instructions and clinic protocols.

Maintain appropriate infection prevention and control, including hand hygiene, aseptic practices, sharps management and clinical-waste disposal.

Ensure treatment rooms and clinical equipment are properly prepared, cleaned and maintained.

Maintain accurate and timely patient records and treatment documentation in the clinic's designated system.

Ensure medicines, clinical products and consumables are appropriately stored and handled according to clinic procedures.

Monitor clinical stock levels and expiry dates and report discrepancies, damage or wastage.

Assist in maintaining emergency equipment and supplies according to clinic procedures.

Maintain patient privacy, confidentiality, dignity and safety.

Provide attentive and professional service throughout the patient's clinic journey.

Participate in staff training, competency assessments and continuous professional development.

Perform other reasonable nursing and clinic-related duties assigned by the immediate superior.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognised institution.

Registered with the Malaysian Nursing Board / Lembaga Jururawat Malaysia (LJM).

Valid Annual Practising Certificate (APC).

Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Previous experience in an aesthetic clinic, dermatology, outpatient clinic, surgical/day-care setting or other clinical environment is an advantage.

BLS certification and relevant clinical training are advantageous.

Good understanding of infection control and patient safety.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Able to communicate effectively in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional languages are an advantage.

Comfortable working in a patient-facing and service-oriented environment.

Responsible, attentive to detail and willing to learn.

Able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary clinic team.
