Job summary

The Corner Clinic in Kuching is seeking a Clinical Nurse / Medical Assistant for Dermatology & Aesthetics. You will provide advanced aesthetic support, counseling, and direct treatments under dermatologist supervision.

Responsibilities include injectable preparation, procedural assistance, and minor surgical support, with emphasis on patient communication and MOH-compliant sterilization. We value tech literacy, multilingual ability, and a collaborative, patient-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Degree in Nursing, MA, or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in A&E or clinical settings.

Responsibilities

• Advanced Aesthetic Support & Counseling: answer inquiries and counsel on aesthetic treatments, manage expectations and aftercare.
• Injectable Preparation: dilution of Botox and preparation of fillers/injectables.
• Procedural Assistance: support Doctor during aesthetic procedures to ensure smooth patient experience.
• Direct Treatments: perform medical-grade facials and aesthetic procedures after training/certification.
• Surgical & Medical Excellence: articulate procedures to patients, assist in minor surgical cases (biopsies, skin scrapes).
• Sterilization: prepare and sterilize instruments per MOH standards.
• Inventory Management (Optional/Rewarded): manage stock purchasing and stock checks.
• Growth: travel for medical conferences and professional development.

Clinical Nurse / Medical Assistant — Dermatology & Aesthetics

We are a well-established medical specialist clinic located in a prominent area of Kuching. In partnership with a renowned Consultant Dermatologist and Aesthetic Physician, we provide comprehensive skin and aesthetic services to an expanding patient base. We pride ourselves on clinical excellence and a professional, supportive environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

Advanced Aesthetic Support & Counseling

Consultation & Counseling: Proactively & professionally answer patient inquiries and provide detailed counseling regarding aesthetic treatments, managing expectations and aftercare.

Injectable Preparation: Master the precise dilution of Botox and the preparation of various fillers and injectables.

Procedural Assistance: Provide swift and proactive assistance to the Doctor during aesthetic procedures to ensure a seamless and efficient patient experience.

Direct Treatments: Independently perform medical-grade facials and aesthetic procedures once fully trained and certified.

Surgical & Medical Excellence

Patient Articulation: Act as the primary clinical support by articulating medical procedures clearly to patients, ensuring they are physically prepared and emotionally reassured before any procedures (e.g. biopsies, skin scrapping, etc).

Assist in minor surgical cases including Skin Biopsies and Excisions.

Perform medical procedures such as Suturing, Dressing, Pairing, and Skin Scraping.

Independently manage the preparation and sterilization of clinical instruments in strict accordance with MOH standards.

Operational Management (Optional/Rewarded)

Oversee clinical inventory, including Stock Purchasing, Ordering, and Stock Checks. Management-level competencies will be rewarded commensurately.

Qualifications & Experience

Degree in Nursing, Medical Assistant (MA), or equivalent.

Must possess a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).

Minimum 2 years of experience in A&E or clinical settings,

Proficiency in suturing and wound care is highly preferred.

Tech Savvy: Basic proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Google Spreadsheets.

Communication: Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to speak multiple languages (Mandarin, English, BM, and local dialects) is a significant advantage in the Kuching context.
