Job summary

AMD in Penang, Malaysia, seeks an experienced Staff IT Auditor to lead risk-based IT, cybersecurity, and SOX audit engagements. You will evaluate IT controls, test ERP systems like SAP, and partner with IT and finance teams to strengthen governance and risk management across on‑premises and cloud environments.

The role requires 5+ years in IT auditing or related fields, with CISA preferred and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

5+ years in IT auditing, cybersecurity, or SOX in a global public company or public accounting environment.
CISA preferred; CISSP/CIA/CFE/CEH are a plus.
Strong knowledge of SOX ITGC, COSO, COBIT, NIST, ISO 27001/27002 and related standards.
Experience testing automated application controls and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
Analytical, communication, and risk assessment skills with strategic mindset.

Responsibilities

Lead risk-based IT, cybersecurity, and SOX audit engagements with defined scope and testing strategies.
Evaluate IT controls and test automated and manual control activities across processes.
Assess cybersecurity governance, risk management, and control framework applicability.
Prepare clear audit reports and track remediation with business stakeholders.
Collaborate with IT, Information Security, Finance, and leadership on risk management.
