Job summary

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. in Melaka, Malaysia, is seeking a Staff Engineer, Product & Test Engineer to help monitor product health and drive test enhancements. Based in Krubong, you will work closely with production and test teams to ensure KPI improvements.

The role requires hands-on experience with power discrete devices and MOSFET test methods, plus a bachelor's or master's in Electronics or Electrical Engineering. Occasional overseas travel may be requested.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in Power Discrete or Power Management IC testing.
• Proficient in English for communication and presentation.
• Willingness to travel overseas upon request.

Responsibilities

• Monitor health of Vishay Production Assembly & Test products.
• Drive improvements to KPI like quality, yield, and cycle time.
• Support product transfer and new product introduction from definition to release.
• Develop and optimize test processes, parameters, and procedures.
• Create test programs for other platforms and reduce test time.
• Coordinate with operations for engineering evaluations and activities.

What You Will Be Doing

• Responsible for products health monitoring of Vishay Production Assembly & Test at Subcon
• Drive improvement project to support Product KPI such as Quality, Yield, Hold Lot Rate and Disposition Cycle Time
• Support product transfer and new product introduction from product definition and development through to characterization, qualification, and release phases
• Drive new test process/parameter/procedure set-up, qualification and implementation
• Responsible for test program generation for other test platforms and test time reduction of test programs
• Review and establish Operation Product & Test Baseline specifications & procedures
• Coordinate with operation to get the needed support for engineering evaluations and other engineering activities
• Define statistical test methods to optimize yield and drive quality defect reduction programs
• Review corrective actions for effectiveness and ensure they are implemented and fanned out as needed
• Support customer complain verification/analysis and action prevention
• Reporting to the Test & Product Engineering Manager

What You Will Bring Along

• Min 5 years in product or test hand-on experience on Power Discrete and/or Power Management IC, e.g., MOSFET product test methodology & programming are highly preferred.
• Proficiency in English Language, Problem Solving, communication & presentation skill
• Works efficiently under pressure
• Be able to make overseas trip by request.
• Bachelor or Master degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
