Job summary

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. in Krubong, Melaka invites applications for a Staff Engineer. You will design and develop sensor products and packaging, evaluate materials, and define electrical package characteristics.

You will also develop manufacturing tools for prototypes and volume production, leveraging your degree in engineering, strong analytical skills, and knowledge of packaging processes. This position is site-based in Melaka and offers growth in a global electronics group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with relevant fields such as Semiconductor Technology, Microelectronics, Mechanical, Electrical or Physics.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Experience with semiconductor packaging processes and materials is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement sensor products and packages for new product introductions.
• Evaluate new products, designs and materials; provide cost improvement recommendations.
• Define package characteristics to meet electrical requirements.
• Develop manufacturing process equipment and tooling for prototypes and volume production.

Job Location:

Krubong, Melaka, Malaysia

This position will be located at Krubong, Melaka in a vibrant industrial area. You will experience different exciting local cultures in this historical state.

What You Will Be Doing

• Design, develop and implement new sensor products & packages to support new product introduction.
• Source, evaluate, analyze and make recommendations on new products, design, materials and cost improvement to enhance competitive edge.
• Responsible to define package characteristic to meet electrical requirements.
• Development of manufacturing process equipment and related tooling for prototype sample and volume production.

What You Will Bring Along

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Semiconductor Technology, Microelectronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Chemical Engineering, Physics)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience.
• Good knowledge/understanding of semiconductor packaging processes, materials and technology.
• Strong analytical and Problem-Solving Skills.
• Experience of 2D AutoCAD and 3D drafting is an added advantage.
