Job summary

Infineon Technologies AG in Malaysia seeks a Staff Engineer Product Engineering within our Research & Development team to merge creativity with technical expertise and shape the future of technology.

You will drive yield stability, support new product releases, and lead quality improvement programs while collaborating with global teams and production lines to ensure reliability and defect-free performance.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Electrical/Electronics/Physics/Materials/Chemistry.
• 3–5 years in semiconductor industry; BE with more years accepted.
• Strong knowledge of 8D, PTE analysis tools and statistics.

Responsibilities

• Support yield stability and quality improvements across PMX.
• Support new product releases and ramp-up production.
• Lead/participate in yield and quality improvement programs.
• Provide fast feedback to production on deviations and problems.

As a Staff Engineer Product Engineering in our Research & Development team, you'll have the opportunity to merge creativity with your technical expertise by shaping the future of technology, driving groundbreaking projects, and bringing new ideas to life.

Key responsibilities

• Support Yield stability & improvement within the scope of technology ownership and within PMX
• Ensure quality and reliability of delivered products meeting IFX quality standard (Lot assessment/FMEA)
• Support of New product releases and volume production
• Initiate/lead yield and quality improvement programs
• Lots' assessment & disposition to ensure quality of products delivered to customers meet Infineon's quality and reliability standard
• Fast feedback to production line in case of deviation, problem identification and fast feedback
• Identify product or technology, or process margin related problem and work with PI/UPS to resolve
• Support new product releases, technology transfer projects and ramp up production of new technologies
• To monitor and work with PI/UPS to ensure stability of product parameters
• Support Production tools releases (PCRB)
• Lead/support Technology Synchronization
• Support technology FMEA Deviation management
• Fast feedback to production in deviation with accurate analysis and conclusion
• Support/lead FEBE interface on yield, quality and reliability improvement topics
• Provide expert knowledge on risk assessment on product quality and reliability (MRB)
• Knowledge exchange (IFX) and knowledge transfers within IFKM

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master/PhD Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Physics/Material Science/Chemistry
• Minimum 3-5 Year of working experience in Semiconductor industry preferred
• BE experience is accepted with higher number of years of experience
• In Depth Knowledge of PTE analysis tools
• Intermediate level of knowledge in semiconductors physics of relevant power/IC technologies
• In depth knowledge in 8D and other problem solving tools
• Advanced statistical analysis
• Six Sigma (preferably)
• Project management
• Leading team skills
• Knowledge of unit processes and its influence on product
• Test methods for specific Technology
• Knowledge on product applications
• Knowledge of quality and reliability of products
