B. Braun in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Staff Engineer - Assembly Automation to lead automation initiatives in product manufacturing and assembly.

You will collaborate with global centers and internal stakeholders to define core automation requirements and drive projects. The role involves partnering with production and R&D to advance simultaneous engineering, evaluate suppliers in APAC, and contribute to governance of core processes within BTC-AP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering is required.
• Experience in process development and assembly.
• Experience in project management.

Responsibilities

• Determine core aspects and success criteria for automation solutions in manufacturing and assembly.
• Drive production process automation projects for assembly in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with global Center of Competence (CoC) and related sub-CoC groups.
• Assist in developing governance strategies for core processes within the regional BMI BTC-AP scope.
• Promote simultaneous engineering with R&D to develop manufacturable products per CoE needs.
• For senior positions, provide training concepts and execution recommendations for technical staff.

Your key responsibilities

• Responsible for determining core aspects and success criteria for automation solutions in product manufacturing and assembly process. Drive projects in the area of production process automation for assembly solutions in co-operation with internal and external stake holder.
• Work closely with the global Center of Competence (CoC) and the related sub-CoC group.
• Assist in developing suitable strategies to execute governance over the core process within the area of regional responsibility defined for the BMI B Braun Technology Center- Asia Pacific (BTC-AP) in accordance with Operating Model Medical (OMM).
• Collaborate with production and Research and Development (R&D) to promote the simultaneous engineering process for combined product and process development with the aim of generating manufacturable new products in accordance with the Center of Excellence (CoE) and division's needs.
• Assist in conducting early evaluations of manufacturing technology suppliers in Asia Pacific (APAC) region which would enhance B. Braun manufacturing capabilities, especially in the area of innovative automation technologies built around the medical product manufacturing and assembly processes.
• For more senior position level, shall provide training concepts and execution recommendations for technically skilled workers, to be implemented by a technical training center.
