Job summary

Vishay Semiconductor Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Staff Engineer to design, develop and implement sensor products and packages for new product introductions. The role focuses on packaging definitions, evaluating materials, and driving cost improvements to maintain competitive edge.

You will work on manufacturing process equipment development and tooling for prototypes and volume production, located at Krubong, Melaka, Malaysia. A Bachelor's in Engineering with 2+ years' experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Semiconductor Tech, Microelectronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Chemical Engineering or Physics).
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience.
• Good knowledge of semiconductor packaging processes, materials and technology.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement new sensor products & packages to support new product introduction.
• Source, evaluate, analyze and make recommendations on new products, design, materials and cost improvement to enhance competitive edge.
• Define package characteristics to meet electrical requirements.
• Develop manufacturing process equipment and related tooling for prototype sample and volume production.

Job Location: Krubong, Melaka, Malaysia

This position will be located at Krubong, Melaka in a vibrant industrial area. You will experience different exciting local cultures in this historical state.

What you will be doing:

• Design, develop and implement new sensor products & packages to support new product introduction.

• Responsible to define package characteristic to meet electrical requirements.
• Development of manufacturing process equipment and related tooling for prototype sample and volume production.

What you will bring along:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Semiconductor Technology, Microelectronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Chemical Engineering, Physics)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience.
• Good knowledge/understanding of semiconductor packaging processes, materials and technology.
• Strong analytical and Problem-Solving Skills.
• Experience of 2D AutoCAD and 3D drafting is an added advantage.
