Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or equivalent).
  • 5–7 years of supplier quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably electronics manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949).
  • Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (8D, FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, APQP, Six Sigma, Lean).
  • Experience conducting supplier audits and assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain supplier quality assurance programs and procedures.
  • Conduct supplier audits, assessments, and qualifications to ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, AS9100, IATF16949).
  • Investigate and resolve complex supplier quality issues, including root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (8D, SCAR), and effectiveness verification.
  • Monitor and analyze supplier performance metrics (e.g., PPM, OTD, scrap rates) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Purchasing, and Manufacturing teams on new product introduction (NPI) and design changes to ensure supplier readiness and quality.
  • Review and approve supplier PPAP/FAI submissions and other quality documentation.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to suppliers to improve their quality systems and processes.
  • Lead supplier development activities, including training and capability building.
  • Prepare and present supplier quality reports and performance reviews to management.

Job Summary

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to travel to supplier sites as required.
