Job summary

Jabil in Malaysia is seeking a Quality Technician to ensure quality and integrity of products throughout the manufacturing lifecycle. You will perform inspections, tests, and analyses to verify adherence to established standards and specifications.

You will document results, support CAPA, and collaborate with production teams to address quality concerns. You will maintain calibration of inspection equipment and participate in audits to strengthen our quality culture.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control, preferably in electronics manufacturing.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-process and final inspections against drawings and quality standards.
• Perform tests with calipers, micrometers, CMM and other metrology tools.
• Document inspection results and report non-conformances.
• Assist root-cause analysis and support CAPA implementation.

Job Summary

The Quality Technician at Jabil, Inc. plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of products and processes throughout the manufacturing lifecycle. This position involves performing inspections, tests, and analyses to verify adherence to established quality standards and specifications.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct in-process and final inspections of manufactured products, components, and materials against engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Perform various quality tests using a range of measurement equipment and tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM, optical comparators) and interpret results.
• Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly, identifying and reporting non-conformances or deviations from specifications.
• Assist in the investigation of root causes for quality issues and support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Collaborate with production teams to address quality concerns, provide feedback, and promote a culture of quality awareness.
• Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment, ensuring proper functionality and accuracy.
• Participate in internal audits and support external audits as required.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of quality procedures, work instructions, and documentation.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies.

Job Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of staff.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
