Job summary

Renesas Electronics in Ipoh, Malaysia, seeks a Principal Supplier Quality Engineer to establish and maintain supplier quality standards for semiconductor assembly, driving continuous improvement via supplier assessments, audits, and CAPA. You will serve as a regional liaison, ensuring compliance with ISO9001/ISO14001 and IATF16949 where applicable.

The role requires collaboration with suppliers, leading root-cause analyses (8D, 5-Why, fishbone), change management, and site certification

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 15 years relevant experience in supplier quality management including supplier selection, ongoing quality improvement and manufacturing excursion response management.
• Proven experience in assembly processes, Cu Clip and SMT techniques.
• Experience with ISO9001, ISO14001 and IATF16949; auditing in manufacturing environments; FMEA, Control Plan, SPC and MSA.
