Job summary

Renesas Electronics seeks a proactive engineer to join our production and test teams in Malaysia. The role focuses on driving yield enhancement, reducing test costs, and maintaining overall device quality and manufacturability.

You will review low-yield lots, perform root-cause analysis, and work cross-functionally to implement corrective actions. Experience in HV semiconductor manufacturing and test platforms is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering is required.
• 3 years of experience in High Volume Semiconductor Manufacturing, preferably in Test Product Engineering or Test Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of analog/digital/power product testing and failure analysis.

Responsibilities

• Review and disposition low-yield production lots; drive root-cause and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with test engineering, assembly, quality, internal factory and OSAT to resolve issues and ensure smooth production flow.
• Perform day-to-day sustaining activities to improve rejection rate and ensure on-time delivery.
• Qualify and validate new products, migrate tester platforms and perform engineering activities.
• Lead gross margin improvement initiatives related to yield enhancement.
• Oversee system integration activities.

Job Summary
This role interfaces with cross functional teams on all phases of product life cycle. This role is responsible for driving yield enhancement, reducing test costs and ensuring the overall quality and manufacturability of the devices.

Key Responsibilities

1.Review and provide disposition on low-yield production lots, and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

2.Work closely with test engineering, assembly, quality, internal factory and OSAT to resolve issues efficiently and ensure smooth production flow.

3.Execute day to day sustaining activities (Overall lot rejection rate improvement, EQA hold rate reduction, SYL/ SBL sustaining, etc.) to ensure delivery fulfillment.

4.Qualification and validation of new products, tester platform migration and various engineering activities.

5.Gross Margin Improvement Initiatives (Yield improvement, etc.).

6.System integration.

Qualifications

Must Have Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, or related field.
• 3 years of experience in High Volume Semiconductor Manufacturing environment preferably in Test Product Engineering, Test Engineering or Product Engineering
• Strong understanding of product knowledge & test methodology of analog/digital/power product, failure analysis, reliability test, RCA.
• Proficiency in statistical data analysis tools (JMP, Spotfire, etc.).
• Strong communication skills to interact with people at all levels

Good to Have Qualifications:

• Experience with module devices
• Experience with Visual Basic/C++ programming
• Experience with ATE tester platforms (Teradyne ETS364/Flex, Advantest).
